FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 – Stadium 974 – Construction Timelapse

In anticipation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 we do daily uploads of our contruction-timelapses from a selection of World Cup Stadiums.
Stadium 974 in the district of Ras Abu Aboud is built all around the idea of sustainability.
The stadium can be fully dismantled and re-purposed post-event.
It might even be rebuilt with the same capacity in a different location or as multiple smaller venues using the same materials.
The stadium bowl seating avoids the need for air conditioning as it is designed to be naturally ventilated. The overall stadium steel structure can be recycled and reused post-tournament, based on any legacy option that is selected.
The stadium’s water efficiency methods ensure it reduces water use by 40% compared to a conventional stadium development.
During the timelapse recording, which lasted from mid 2018 to late 202, we were supported on site by our partner in Qatar, Eclick Multimedia Solutions.
